For Andrea Tsang, the kitchen is more than a functional space; it is a place for rituals that create balance. The small, recurring actions provide structure and calm: brewing tea, setting out cups, moving slowly through the room. The rituals become a way to land in the present moment and create focus before work begins.

THE KITCHEN AS A FOUNDATION FOR CREATIVITY
In the kitchen, function and feeling meet. The Tyler dining table and Waterton furniture, as well as the Kerwin chair, give the room stability and frame everyday life, while the surfaces allow movement, conversation and preparation. This is not where the art is created directly, but this is where sketches and the conditions for it are created. A room where colours, materials and shapes are allowed to interact with light and presence.
This is also where Andrea anchors herself in the place. Through simple details and personal habits, she quickly creates a feeling of home, even in temporary accommodation.

“– When I spread it, it feels as if I have brought a piece of my home with me, wherever I am,” says Andrea.
