WHERE RESPONSIBILITY LIES
OUR SUSTAINABILITY PHILOSOPHY
For us at Rowico Home, sustainability means doing what is possible today, and step by step becoming better. The goal is to create furniture that lasts over time, is manufactured responsibly and developed with a focus on reducing environmental impact throughout the value chain.
A RESPONSIBLE WAY TO DEVELOP FURNITURE
Sustainability is part of how Rowico Home develops and improves its products. This includes, among other things, work with certified materials, requirements in the supplier chain, as well as compliance with applicable regulations. At the same time, the work is being further developed to a greater extent to include materials, construction and climate impact in future product development. By working in a structured way with quality, traceability and responsibility in our processes, we want to create furniture that lasts over time, in terms of form, function and impact.
SINCE 2017 ROWICO HOME HAS BEEN FSC®-CERTIFIED
Wood has been a central part of Rowico Home since the start in 1971 and characterises most of our products. Therefore, questions of origin and traceability are a natural part of how our furniture is developed.
Since 2017 Rowico Home has been FSC®-certified. FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) ensures that the wood can be traced through the supply chain and comes from forests that are managed with consideration for nature, biological diversity and people.
For you as a customer, this means that you can choose furniture where the raw material has been checked throughout the entire chain.
For us, FSC is more than a label, it is a tool for increased transparency and a more responsible way of working. By increasing the proportion of FSC-certified wood, we want to contribute to more sustainable forestry.
If you would like to know more about our certification, information is available at info.fsc.org. Search for certificate number BV-COC-135942 or licence number FSC-C135942..
CLIMATE TARGETS IN LINE WITH SBTi
In 2025, Rowico Home joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global framework that helps companies set climate targets in line with what is required to limit global warming according to the Paris Agreement.
Rowico Home has set science-based climate targets focusing on reducing emissions in its own operations (scope 1 and 2) by 42% by 2030, compared with the base year 2023. At the same time, we are working to measure and reduce emissions in our value chain (scope 3).
This means that we are gradually reducing our climate impact through our choices of energy, transport and ways of working.
Through structured and long-term work, we aim to contribute to more sustainable development and make it easier to choose furniture with care.
