WHERE RESPONSIBILITY LIES
RESPONSIBLE FORESTRY
At Rowico Home, we believe in taking care of nature and its resources in the best possible way. Since the company was founded in 1971, wood has been our most important material, which is why it is natural for us to actively work to contribute to responsible forestry and a better environment.
A RESPONSIBLE WAY TO DEVELOP FURNITURE
Sustainability is part of how Rowico Home develops and improves its products. This includes, among other things, work with certified materials, requirements in the supplier chain, as well as compliance with applicable regulations. At the same time, the work is being further developed to a greater extent to include materials, construction and climate impact in future product development. By working in a structured way with quality, traceability and responsibility in our processes, we want to create furniture that lasts over time, in terms of form, function and impact.
WHAT DOES FSC® CERTIFICATION SIGNIFY?
FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, which is an independent, international member organisation working to achieve environmentally sound, socially responsible and economically robust use of the world’s forests through its FSC certification system. FSC® certification on any item of our furniture at Rowico Home indicates that all the timber comes from responsible forestry operations, i.e. forestry that takes into account people and the environment. By purchasing furniture that is FSC-certified you are making a better environmental choice. In order for a company to be able to call itself FSC® certified, it must have 100% control of its supply chains and its stocks. Regular audits are conducted by an external party.
OUR FSC® FURNITURE
Most of our FSC certified furniture is FSC 100%, while our sofas are FSC MIX.

SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
In 2015, the UN member states adopted Agenda 2030. A universal agenda containing 17 Global Goals for economic, social, and environmental sustainable development. Based on that and after mapping out the challenges and opportunities that Rowico Home faces, we have found that three of the seventeen goals are particularly relevant; gender equality, decent work and economic growth, and combating climate change. These goals guide our work forward, and in 2022, our sustainability report was compiled, detailing how we will concretely work with these goals daily.
