CAROLINE JANSSON
INTERIOR WITH A HOMELY FEELING
Caroline loves the feeling of feeling at home. She decorates with a minimalist style, timeless colors, phases out the white sterile and brings in dark tones to create a cozy feeling.
WHO IS CAROLINE JANSSON?
Caroline Jansson was born and raised in Mora, Dalarna, and now lives in Umeå after spending ten years in Oslo. With a background in fashion, which she has worked with for most of her life, her interest in fashion and interior design has always been close to her heart.
Today, Caroline is 39 years old and happy to have the opportunity to work with her passions while managing her social media, something she has been doing for the past eight years. She shares home projects daily. Recently, some Rowico Home furniture has found a place, such as the HAZELTON display cabinet in brown. It became a natural addition when they wanted to incorporate more brown tones into their newly renovated kitchen and dining area. The beautiful brown oak in the cabinet and the sliding glass doors became an obvious place for porcelain, wine glasses, and decorative items, enhancing the dining area in a warm and modern way.
A MODERN LIVING ROOM WITH DARK DETAILS
Caroline shares her life in Umeå with her partner Albin and three stepchildren. They live in a two-story house, a 15-minute walk from the city center. Since Caroline works a lot from home and largely controls her own schedule, she loves being able to combine the chance to enjoy the nature and green areas near their home with work.
A typical workday usually starts around 06:00 for Caroline, with a cup of coffee in front of Nyhetsmorgon and a quick check of her phone. This often takes place in the living room by the SULLIVAN coffee table in brown wood. The coffee tables have a tasteful lined pattern, and the tabletop has a practical edge with rounded corners. Its dark brown color modernizes the room in a harmonious way while enhancing the surrounding interior details.
INTERIOR DESIGN WITH A FEELING OF HOME
When it comes to interior design, Caroline has always loved the "I never want to leave this home" feeling. Her vision is to create a home where everyone who comes to visit feels welcomed and embraced by the warmth of the home as they walk through the door. She advocates for a minimalist style so that there aren't "a million things everywhere." Even when it comes to color, she prefers timeless colors.
When they recently updated their home with new furniture, the goal was to tone down the white that has long been trendy and instead embrace a darker color palette that harmonizes with the rest of the interior and details in their home. Something they thought would be obvious was to replace their dark countertop with a light one, but since the dark one framed and gave an elevated feel to the kitchen, they chose to keep it. For her dark modern kitchen, she has chosen to place three ALISON barstools in a light fabric with a black base. Adding barstools to their kitchen island creates a wonderfully inviting space where both friends and family can be involved in cooking, and breakfast can quickly be both setup and cleared away. The bar stools have a practical swivel base and a padded comfortable seat that allows for many comfortable conversations on the kitchen island.
WHY ROWICO HOME?
Caroline first came into contact with Rowico Home through a store in Leksand, Lantliv, which is one of Rowico Home's retailers. The store owner introduced her to the furniture, and she was immediately delighted and it has continued that way.
"I like everything – the look, the quality, the smoothness, and that the furniture feels luxurious."
