DECORATING A HOME

Decorating a home can be difficult for many people. Louise Hjorth is an expert at it. For Louise, it's easy because she has a natural sense of colour and form, but there are also ways to be inspired even if it doesn't come naturally.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN DECORATING

Louise Hjorth has decorated many homes and one of the most important things to consider is creating something personal. Even if you love trends, it’s important to keep something that makes the home personal. Perhaps it’s an interest that gets to take place or it could be a photo or an artwork.

THREE WAYS TO BE INSPIRED

If you don’t have the feeling to create a cozy home but still have the desire to do so, there are ways to be inspired:

1. Check out interior design magazines and social media such as Instagram and Pinterest, there is so much inspiration and you can save what you like to go back, look, and plan for purchase.

2. Go out to stores and check out what the latest trends are. Take the opportunity to feel and touch so you can find out what you like.

3.  Think simple. A home with fewer items usually create a more harmonious feeling and a pleasant impression. Choose a few items that will be placed in the center of tables and storage.
