Scandinavian design is characterised by minimalism, functionality, and the use of natural materials. It originates from the Nordic countries and is known for its clean lines and lack of excessive details. The form is simple, practical, and functional. Natural materials such as wood are common and often untreated or lightly treated to preserve their natural appearance.
The colour palette is light and nature-inspired, which helps to maximise light intake during the dark Nordic winters. Scandinavian design has a strong tradition of craftsmanship and quality.
