A KITCHEN WITH CONTRASTS
BLACK DETAILS AT @34KVADRAT
Emelie Ekman, known as @34kvadrat on Instagram and her own blog, has recently moved into a new house with a beautiful oak kitchen. To create contrasts while still picking up on the black details in the house, Emelie has chosen a completely black dining group that stands at the center of the kitchen.
STYLISH KITCHEN WITH CONTRASTS
Emelie started her @34kvadrat account 10 years ago, in her 34 square meter apartment, and her interior design style has since then appealed to many. As she has now moved to a house of about 180 square meters, many follow her with excitement. Her style in this more modern house has evolved to be a bit more contrasting, still with a fantastic sense for each room she decorates.
One of the rooms that Emelie really wanted to create a contrast in was the kitchen.
- When we moved in, we took over a fantastic oak kitchen. The kitchen has a modern feeling with straight lines and black details. I really wanted the kitchen to be in the center when we moved in, so then it felt natural to choose a black dining group and really create contrasts, says Emelie.
THE DINING AREA IN THE CENTER
The choice of furniture for the dining area in the kitchen became the EMMETT dining table, RODHAM chair, and HALIFAX cabinet.
- I discovered by chance Rowico Homes' beautiful wooden dining table on Instagram. When I saw their EMMETT dining table, I immediately fell for its straight lines and solid wood construction. When I then looked further at the range of chairs, I also liked the RODHAM chair, which has a slim expression while also standing out in the black color. As the icing on the cake, there was also a HALIFAX cabinet in ribbed wood. All of this together really became a stylish contrast to the kitchen interior while it blends together as everything is in solid wood, says Emelie.
TIPS PÅ INREDNINGSDETALJER I KÖKET
To create a cozy feel in a modern kitchen, Emelie has invested in a few carefully selected products.
- I love lamps and have found the perfect lamp over the dining table. It is simple in its expression, while its rounded design softens the room and the dining group. Then I love candles and flowers, so it's a natural addition to the dining table. I also like to pick up the colour of the flowers in something more like a plate, bowl, or whatever it may be. I also think it's nice to put out a cutting board, book, and some nice jug or carafe. Simply things I like to use and look at every day, concludes a satisfied house owner.
